If you work in the field of Data, there will be so many words that will be thrown at you and undoubtedly, they will confuse you. Happened to me as well. Last year one of my objective was to explore Data Governance and Meta Data Management. A year later, I cannot say for sure I understand them completely
Simple definitions but useful and key to Data Governance.

- Security -Data Governance is a fundamental part of security. It ensures that the right people have the right access.
- Information Lifecycle Management- ILM is a best practice for managing data throughout its lifecycle.
